1.) I determined the subject for this project by simply walking around school and finding parts that had very bright and contrasting colors. I was originally going to do a picture of the landscape, but i remembered that sunsets/sunrises were not exactly allowed. 2.) I took over 30 pictures in total with different lights and filters on my phone camera. Because I couldn't change the actual lighting in the room, (because there were students in the library and i didn't want to make it go completely dark in there) I played with the light settings on my phone camera. 3.) The only REAL challenge I encountered was mainly just lighting. I also had to stop multiple times to let students or teachers pass or grab books off the shelf. 4.) If i could do this project again, I would take photos of a place where I can control the lighting so that I wouldn't have to add filters or darken the pictures myself. Final Photo: Index Print: CONCEPT: love MESSAGE:   dying love EMOTIONAL CONNECTOR: the feeling that no matter how much you try to patch your love for someone up, it'll always burn out in one way or another. You cannot make it last forever. DYNAMIC ARTISTRY: the tape holding the paper heart together symbolizes the fact that you can try to keep your love patched together. the letters are the initials for two people who love each other. the fire symbolizes that love will always burn out in one way or another. it is inevitable.

1.) Retro photo {attempt 1} (original) This was my first attempt at the retro photo. It looks okay, but i feel like it does not mach with the examples shown in the tutorial. It just looks like a red filter was placed over the original picture. This effect can be put on any picture and it would look retro.       {attempt 2}  (original) This was my second attempt at the retro photo. I think it looks better than the first one i did. Dreamy Effect (original) I tried to put a lens flare effect on this picture, but it didn't work out as well as i thought it would. It just looks like a simple gradient. PART ONE: QUALITY OF WORK During the first semester, the quality of my work was an uneven mix of a lot of things. Some final products were decent, while others could have been better. I could have chosen better subjects in some projects. I'd like to think that I paid enough attention to the objectives for each project.Almost every project was turned in on time, except for a few ones that were uploaded only a day or two late. The index prints always had enough pictures (24 to be exact). Something I could have worked on was going beyond my first ideas. Some of my ideas lacked creativity but i still stuck with them because i didn't think id be able to think of anything else. EFFORT During the first semester, i wasn't always giving off my best effort. I was not always actively taking pictures, and I didn't plan for my projects for very long.
